SCA Expo 2024 has come and gone, and we're excited to look back at the weekend on and off the show floor in Chicago. The Acaia booth featured members of our international team demoing our full range of equipment. Throughout the weekend connected with our reseller partners and collaborators. We also checked out the newest releases from across the industry. During the show, our team was glad to attend a number of satellite events around the city. We're also proud to have received this year's SCA Best New Product Award in the Coffee Accessories category.
At the Booth
The Acaia booth was busy all weekend long, and it was a pleasure to see so many enthusiastic coffee people. Our team sold lots of Lunar, Pearl, and Pearl S scales, along with some accessories like our dosing cups. We also demoed our full equipment line, including the Orion coffee dosers, the Orbit Black and White, and the newest version of the Ion Beam. This Expo was also our first time sharing our upcoming release, the Astra. The Astra is a Flow Watch, a new accessory extending the function of our complete range of scales.
Beyond selling scales and demoing products, our team also delivered a new game and giveaway for show attendees. "Weight Weight... Please Tell Me" had participants adding toys and trinkets to a cupping tray aiming to reach a random target weight. Players won Acaia goods based on how close they were to their target.

Prizes included swag like buttons, pins, and apparel, and two people each day took home a Pearl. Booth visitors could also enter to win an Orbit to add to their coffee bar, which we awarded on Sunday. Congratulations to our game and giveaway winners!
On the Show Floor
Expo is always a great opportunity to connect with many of our industry partners. We relish these events for bringing us together to catch up and share the latest updates with each other. Seeing products on display from Meticulous, Roest, Baratza, and others is always inspiring and a highlight of these trade shows.
As usual, tasty coffee, tea, and related products were plentiful. This kept us fueled as we explored the entire show floor to find exciting new products from people throughout the industry.
Best New Product
We're honored to have receive a place in this year's SCA Best New Product Awards. Our upcoming product, the Astra, won in the Coffee Accessories category. The Astra is an accessory computer and display compatible with any Acaia scale. This accessory adds new functionality to our scales, expanding what they're capable of. Due to its connectivity, it ensures that you have the latest Acaia software no matter your scale's age. Some new features include espresso shot prediction, data logging for espresso and filter, and pour-over beverage ratio calculation.

World and US Competitions
Expo coincided with World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championships. The show was also host to several US Coffee Championships, including Coffee in Good Spirits, Latte Art, and Roasters. We'd like to extend sincere congratulations to the new champions and to everyone who competed over the weekend. We would also like to give a hearty shout-out to our sponsored competitors.
Events in Chicago
Convention weekends always include satellite events of all kinds. This Expo was no exception. Our team joined a variety of get-togethers and parties across the city. We connected with coffee people from around the globe.
We were also excited to host a cocktails and mocktails hour for our reseller partners. This event was hosted in Counter Culture Coffee's beautiful Chicago training lab with their team's help. We appreciated this chance to interact with our international resellers. This was a great opportunity for our partners to get hands-on product experience, including the Astra.
